Audrey Velez, SWC (She/Her)
I'm originally from California, and began my academic journey at California State University, Fresno (Fresno State), before continuing my education in Colorado, where I pursued my Master of Social Work at the University of Denver. As an MSW candidate, I am working toward clinical licensure while also pursuing my Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) credential.
Over the years, I have made Colorado my home, where I have built a life alongside my husband and my daughter and son. My own experiences with family, relationships, and life’s many transitions have helped shape my appreciation for the importance of connection, resilience, and personal growth.
I am passionate about creating a supportive, compassionate, and judgment-free environment where individuals feel seen, heard, and empowered throughout their healing journey. My clinical interests and areas of specialty include addiction and substance use counseling, trauma, EMDR therapy, parenting support, grief and loss, infertility, single-parenting challenges, and navigating divorce and major life transitions. I believe healing is not a one-size-fits-all process and strive to meet each individual where they are, honoring their unique experiences and goals.
Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy attending concerts and rodeos, traveling, and staying active at Burn Boot Camp. I value family time, new experiences, and finding joy in the little moments along the way.
I believe that seeking support is a sign of strength, not weakness, and that everyone deserves a space where they can feel safe enough to heal, grow, and rediscover themselves.
